Essence is Country Victoria's premier events and wedding band, providing high quality, high energy entertainment for your wedding reception, ceremony, birthday party, ball or corporate event.
Now based in Echuca and Bendigo, Essence has quickly become one of the most highly recommend bands for wedding entertainment and special events, as their wide repertoire and musical diversity allow them to connect with audiences of all ages to ensure your event is a complete success. Our focus is on creating exceptional music to fill your dance floor.
Cye and Jacinta have performed at over 1,000 weddings and corporate events since joining together in 2007, as the lead vocalists for the well-known band Melbourne Escapade. Having performed in venues throughout Australia at events including the Melbourne Cup Carnival, BMW series launch and various celebrity weddings, to name a few, Cye and Jacinta have returned to share their talents with Country Victoria and there 'Essence' was born.

ILouis is an up and coming drummer in the Australian music scene.
Currently studying a Bachelor of Music Performance at the Australian College of the Arts, Louis is set on constantly increasing his skills to be next level..
From a young age, Louis found a passion for music performance, continuing to play the live music scene across rural Victoria throughout his high school years.
Since moving to Melbourne for his study, Louis is enjoying collaborating with some of the cities finest, including Diamonds of Neptune, Brown Sugar and Âme Tourmentée.
At present, Louis is enjoying playing with a range of bands spanning across Victoria and surrounding states, with his newest focus being on recording and studio work.
Armed with high hopes and dedication to match, Louis has thrown himself seamlessly into the Australian music industry, capturing the attention of many and is certainly a name to watch.
Cye is an accomplished singer, songwriter and musician, well known in the Melbourne music scene.
His first intimate moments with music began in his teens, as a member of a gospel choir. Cye went on to join an A Cappella vocal group known as "Daverse," and appeared on TV shows "Star Struck" and "The X-Factor" making it to the Top 15 in the country. Years later, Cye also went on to be a part of "Australian Idol" with great success.
Cye has performed and shared the stage with many renowned Australian artists such as Nathaniel, Samantha Jade, Hayley Teal, Amanda Grafanakis, Gary Pinto (CDB), Abby Joyce (Jabulani), James Morrisson (Trumpeter), Carmen Hendricks, Rebekah Mendoza, Disco Montego, Percy Robinson, Natalie Gauci (Winner of Aus-Idol 2007) Random (Winners of X-Factor 2005) just to name a few.
In 2004 he performed and sang for model and best-selling crime author Tara Moss on her wedding day.
In 2005 He joined "Escapade" a band specializing in corporate events and weddings. Today, Escapade is one of Melbourne's most successful wedding and corporate bands, delivering a high standard of performance and entertainment at every event. Cye is certainly one of Melbourne's most naturally gifted singers and continues to wow audiences with his versatility and soul.
Matt Ivancic is an accomplished Guitarist who, at such a young age, has already played alongside some of our countries finest musicians. Matt is an educator, singer songwriter and musician who plays a wide variety of music - everything from Jazz, pop, rock, funk, Latin, all the way to progressive metal.
Raised in Echuca Victoria, Matt has just completed 3 years of music performance study at Melbourne Polytechnic.
Currently working within 6 different musical projects at present including Matt thrives on musical diversity, broadening his skill base and ensuring maximum versatility.
As a lead guitarist with Benny Walker, Matt has played an impressive array of venues including the Woodford folk festival to a crowd of 500,000, the Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Town hall and his favourite- in Arnhem Land NT ,
Jacinta is one of Melbourne's most sought after vocalists. Her versatility of voice and unique ability to connect with audiences has allowed her to enjoy a professional career spanning more than 17 years to date.
Formerly the lead female vocalist with the band Escapade, Jacinta has played venues throughout Australia as a soloist in her own right and as the lead vocalist of various live acts including the Hitsquad, Stage 2 and Keeping Secrets.
Jacinta was also a founding member and choreographer of the Rock Goddess Show in Melbourne.
As a multi faceted performer, Jacinta's other credits include television and film work for shows including Neighbours, The Secret Life of Us, On the Beach and various television commercials.
From a young age, Jacinta's love of music and dance lead her into a background in musical theater, with lead roles as the host of Children's theater and character work including the Cheeky Charlie Show and various appearances as "Marilyn Monroe."
As a professional and long standing member of the music industry, Jacinta finds great joy in sharing her love of music with audiences throughout Australia and looks forward to the memories for years to come.

Wedding Ceremonies
A wedding ceremony is a time honoured tradition filled with romance, tears and joy. The music you select is paramount to helping your achieve your perfect moment. Live music adds that special element to every ceremony. When choosing your wedding ceremony music, be sure you select music that corresponds with the key formality of the ceremony such as the bridal entrance, signing of the registry or communion etc. Above all, choose songs that reflect your personal journey's, songs that are special to you. These are memories you will hold forever. Although the ESSENCE repertoir is huge, should there be a special song you wish to have played that is not listed, please let us know. We would be more than happy to cater to your request.
